Individuals convicted of a felony are ineligible to vote while in prison, on parole, or on probation. Voting rights are automatically restored upon completion of all supervised release.

According to Idaho’s constitution: Article VI, Section 3, “No person is permitted to vote, serve as a juror, or hold any civil office who has, at any place, been convicted of a felony.” And goes on to say, “who has not been restored to the rights of citizenship.”
So to be restored the full rights of citizenship, except in the cases of treason or for people who commit certain crimes, you must complete your prison term as well as probation and parole, whichever the case may be.

How Can A Felon in Idaho Restore Their Voting Rights

Once you complete your prison term as well as probation and parole, whichever the case may be, you can reregister or register to vote. Felons can register early or on the same day of voting. They can also cast absentee ballots. However, they aren’t allowed to register to vote online.
