Can A Felon Vote In Kentucky?

Kentucky took several large steps backward on December 22, 2015. That is when State Governor Matt Bevin issued an executive order that bars the voting rights for life of felons.
How Can A Felon in Kentucky Restore Their Voting Rights
In order to seek the right to once again vote or to obtain voting rights, felons, upon release from prison or jail, must apply to the Governor’s office to have their voting rights reinstated.
Your only other way to get your voting rights restored is to get a pardon from the President.
Once that is done you will need to meet these requirements:
You are eligible to vote in Kentucky if you:
Are a U.S citizen
Are a resident of Kentucky
Are at least 18 years old by Election Day
Live in the precinct where you vote for at least 10 days prior to the election
You are NOT eligible to vote in Kentucky if:
You have been legally declared “mentally incompetent” by a court
To register to vote in Kentucky you should provide:
Your Kentucky Driver’s License or State ID Number (online applicants only)
Your Social Security Number
