Can A Felon Vote In Ohio?
Individuals in prison for a felony conviction are ineligible to vote. Voting rights are automatically restored upon release from prison. People on parole or probation can vote. Ex-offenders should re-register to vote.

Ohio said that voting privileges for felons are reissued after an individual serves his or her sentence, or upon a felon’s release from prison. According to the news report, Ohio is one of 14 US states that permit felons who have served their sentence to re-register to vote.
How Can A Felon in Ohio Restore Their Voting Rights
If you meet the above criteria as a felon, then here are the other requirements before you can register to vote:
You are eligible to vote in Ohio if you:
Are a U.S citizen
Are a resident of Ohio
Are at least 18 years old by Election Day
Live in the precinct where you vote for at least 30 days prior to the election
You are NOT eligible to vote in Ohio if:
You have been permanently disenfranchised for violating the election laws
You are incarcerated (in prison or jail) for a felony conviction under the laws of this state, another state, or the United States
You have been declared incompetent for voting purposes by a probate court
To register to vote in Ohio you should provide one of the following:
The Last Four Digits of your Social Security Number
Your Ohio Driver’s License Number
If you do not have any of these IDs, you can provide a copy of one of the following with your registration application:
Current and Valid Photo ID
Government Issued Document that shows your current name and address
Utility Bill
Government Check
Valid Military ID
Bank Statement
Paycheck that Shows your current name and address
Statements and bills should be dated within one year of Election Day
A notice of voter registration mailed by a board of elections is not a valid form of ID
Voting In-Person
In Ohio, you need to show a valid ID to vote. You can use any ID from this list:
Paycheck that shows your Current Name and Address
Government Issued Document that shows your Current Name and Address
Utility Bill
Bank Statement
Valid Federal Issued ID
Valid Military ID
Government Check
Valid Ohio Issued ID
Valid Ohio Driver’s License
You may carry the original or a copy of your ID. Statements, checks and bills should be dated no earlier than 365 days before Election Day.
