Can A Felon Vote In Utah?
Individuals in prison for a felony conviction are ineligible to vote. Voting rights are automatically restored upon release from prison. People on parole or probation can vote. Ex-offenders should re-register to vote.

Utah is lenient toward felon voting rights. The Beehive State is among 13 other states that prevent felons from casting an electoral ballot but reinstate a felon’s voting rights once he or she has completed their sentence or are paroled or on probation.
How Can A Felon in Utah Restore Their Voting Rights
If you meet the above criteria as a felon, then here are the other requirements before you can register to vote:
You are eligible to vote in Utah if you:
Are a U.S citizen
Are a resident of Utah
Are at least 18 years old by Election Day
Live in the precinct where you vote for at least 30 days prior to the election
You are NOT eligible to vote in Utah if:
You are in prison or detention or jail or penal institution
You are on parole for a felony conviction or convicted of a felony
To register to vote in Utah you should provide:
The Last Four Digits of your Social Security Number
Your Utah Driver’s License or State/non-driver ID Number
Voting In-Person
In Utah, you need to show a valid ID to vote. You can use any ID from this list:
Valid Federal Issued ID
Valid Utah Driver’s License
License to Carry Concealed Weapon or Firearm
Valid US Passport
Valid Utah Issued ID
Valid Tribal ID
If you do not have an ID from this list, in Utah you may show a combination of two IDs from the following:
Paycheck that Shows your Name and Address
Bureau of Indian Affairs Card
Certified (Copy) of US Birth Certificate
Valid Local Government Issued ID Card
Valid Military ID
Copy of Utility Bill Dated within 90 Days of the Election
Valid Employee ID
Government Check
Current Utility Bill
Social Security Card
Medicare or Medicaid Card Issued by the Government
Bank Statement
Certified (Copy) of Naturalization Document
Valid Student ID
Tribal Treaty Card
Hunting or Fishing ID
Electronic Transfer Benefits Card
