Bally’s Las Vegas was formally called MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. It opened with great fanfare in December of 1973 and at the time was the largest hotel in the world and had more space in it than the Empire State Building. The resort has a large shopping area a floor below the casino which includes restaurants such as Sterling Brunch Las Vegas, Tequila Taqueria Bar and Grill, and Sea: The Thai Experience. The top permanently placed show at Bally’s is Wayne Newton.
