Braum’s was founded in Oklahoma in 1968 by Bill Braum and his wife, Mary Braum. The company is a family-owned restaurant chain known best for its level of vertical irrigation. Braum’s restaurants serve; ice cream, sandwiches, frozen yogurt, breakfast items, salads, and hamburgers. Braum’s stores also feature a grocery department which features frozen entrees, dairy products, meats, baked goods, beverages, and produce. The company owns eight farms and ranches, as well as a dairy farm which allows Braum’s to carry out vertical irrigation. Braum’s operate 300 stores, with 13 stores in Missouri, 27 in Kansas, 13 in Arkansas, 99 in Texas, and 128 in Oklahoma. The company’s headquarters are situated in Tuttle, Oklahoma.
