It is based in the United States as a retail and drug benefit company headquartered in Rhode Island, Woonsocket. The Consumer Value Store (CVS) was created in 1963. Its foundation was based on the unity of three partner brothers, Stanley and Sydney Goldstein. Goldstein also had a partner Ralf Hogle that was part of the business. These businessmen expand their collaboration to allow retailers to manage their range of health and beauty products. The company started with a range of health and beauty stores, but a few years later, pharmacies were added. It also came to join Melville to promote growth and expansion. In mid 1990s, CVS separated from Melville and began trading independently. It also introduced its stock on the New York Stock Exchange.
