The company was originally owned by the Holiday Corporation also known as Holiday Inn. The hotel was first developed in the year 1984 in Overland Park which is located in Kansas. It was purchased by another by another company which is known as the Promus Companies incorporated. However, in the year 1999, the company was purchased by the Embassy Suites hotels. This was after the merger of Hilton Hotels and Promus Hotel.
