Can A Felon Vote In Missouri?

Individuals convicted of a felony are ineligible to vote while in prison, on parole, or on probation. Voting rights are automatically restored upon completion of all supervised release. Individuals who have been convicted of an election offense, whether a felony or misdemeanor, are not allowed to vote.

Missouri felons are able to vote upon completion of their sentence and parole or probation. However, if you were convicted of an election offense, whether it was a misdemeanor or felony, you are barred from the electoral process.

How Can A Felon in Missouri Restore Their Voting Rights

After a felon has served there full sentence, including parole or probation (plus any costs for restitution), they can regain there right to vote.
You are eligible to vote in Missouri if you:
Are a U.S citizen
Are a resident of Missouri
Are at least 18 years old by Election Day
You are NOT eligible to vote in Missouri if:
You are in prison or detention or jail or penal institution
You are on parole for a felony conviction or convicted of a felony
You were convicted of a felony or misdemeanor connected with voting
To register to vote in Missouri you should provide:
The Last Four Digits of your Social Security Number
Your Missouri Driver’s License Number
If you are registering to vote for the first time by mail, you will need to provide a copy of a valid ID. Acceptable forms of ID include:
Current and Valid Photo ID
Valid Tribal ID
Government Issued Document that shows your current name and address
Utility Bill, Bank Statement, Government Check, or Paycheck that Shows your current name and address
Birth Certificate
Other proof of US Citizenship issued by the Federal Government
Voting In-Person
In Missouri, you need to show a valid ID to vote. You can use any ID from this list:
Valid Federal Issued ID
Paycheck that shows your Current Name and Address
Government Issued Document that shows your Current Name and Address
Utility Bill
Bank Statement
Valid Missouri Driver’s License
Valid Student ID
Out of State Driver’s License or Non-driver ID
Government Check
Valid Missouri Issued ID
ID Issued by the Local Election Authority
If you do not have ID, you may still vote if two judges from different, major political parties attest that they know you.
