Bakers Square began as a single restaurant in 1969 in Des Moines, Iowa. It was opened by American Blue Ribbon Holdings which is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. The first restaurant was named Mrs. C’s and became famous for the pies created at the on-site bakery. In addition to the excellent baked desserts, Bakers Square offers a full breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu.
Bakers Square has around 40 locations which are mainly in the Upper Midwest section of the US. Breakfast specialties include skillet meals, ham steak, chicken fried steak, and corned beef. Lunch diners will find salads, burgers, melts, and sandwiches. Many dinner specialties available such as steaks, seafood, pork chops, and poultry. Desserts include just about any pie you can think of.
