Greyhound Lines began operations in 1914 when its first rout was to and from Hibbing, Minnesota. However, it was not until 1929 that the company took on the name Greyhound. The business operated for many decades until 2007 when it decided to become partner with another organization. Greyhound became a subsidiary of FirstGroup, a British transportation company. Nonetheless, it did not impact its operational grounds as its headquarters remains to be in Texas. The Dallas headquartered has been in operation since 1987. Greyhound and FirstGroup America became sister companies and together they became the biggest motor coach operators in Canada and America.
