Kum and Go was founded in Hampton, Iowa in 1959 by Tony S. Gentle and William A. Krause. Kum and Go is a convenience store chain which offers cigarettes, coffee, sausages, pizza, hot dogs, gasoline products, and cookies, among others. The company runs over 400 stores across 11 states including Oklahoma, Minnesota, Missouri, South Dakota, North Dakota, Arkansas, Wyoming, Colorado, Nebraska, and Montana. Part of the Kum and Go franchise success was due to their Kum and Go “Gold Cup” marketing campaign which involved purchasing an 8oz coffee mug for $50 and in turn getting unlimited soda and coffee refills. Kum and Go’s headquarters are situated in Des Moines.
